Hi! I've been wanting to learn Japanese primarily for personal reasons. Prior to taking the class, I was largely illiterate and unable to manage basic conversation, despite being half Japanese. Along with this, I've already been learning Spanish since elementary school through dual-immersion programs and general high school classes, which complements my Mexican half; as a result, I felt it was natural to formally learn how to speak and write in Japanese when presented the opportunity. As an aside, I think it would be really interesting to pursue a career in Japan, so my current but far-reaching goal is to pass the N1 JLPT exam. I'm excited to continue learning to further my understanding of the Japanese language!
